Council resolves to raise the remuneration of the academic and administrative staff

At the Council held on Saturday 24th October 2011 from 4:00 pm to 6:50 pm, it was resolved that the remuneration of the academic staff and administrative staff will be raised. The raise in academic staff will be funded by the Government.
The Council also resolved to provide an allowance of 20% of the take-home pay to all administrative staff. The allowance will be funded from the university income.
The University will not deduct pension contribution from the remuneration of either the academic or administrative staff.
The Council also resolved to issue chits as soon as possible to academic staff.
The increase in remuneration will be effective from 1st October 2011 to both academic and administrative staff.

Council Approves Staff Development Policy and Guidelines for Assistance for Higher Education to Staff

The Council has approved the Staff Development Policy and the associated guidelines for the provision of assistance for higher education in the Council meeting held on 3rd October 2011. The Policy and the guidelines are here. There is a form to be filled for obtaining the assistance. The form is here. The policy was formulated by studying similar policies in Australian and New Zealand universities.
Council constitutes a committee to receive complaints of Student Union election

In the meeting held on 3rd October 2011 the Council has constituted a committee to look into issues arising from the Student Union election to be held shortly. The three member panel comprises the following:

- Shathif Ali
- Ramiz Ali
